We can’t lie, we’re a little bit Kate obsessed… we’ve got the Duke and Duchess on the brain and with all this Royal energy we’ve started reminiscing on some of our favourite Duchess style moments. Whether it’s white lace for Ascot or royal red for Canada, we can always rely on the Duchess of Cambridge to look effortlessly classy and stylish. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy some of our favourite Royal fashion throwbacks… you might even spot some gloves you recognise.
St Patrick’s Day, 2015
While distributing shamrocks to the Irish Guards on St. Patrick’s Day, the Duchess of Cambridge chose to wear a Catherine Walker coat for the occasion. Recognise the gloves? Kate paired the coat with our Merino Wool Imogen gloves. She was also seen dressed in these gloves on the way to church on Christmas day, this time worn with a lovely tweed Moloh coat. Nothing better than seeing our favourite girl in some of our favourite gloves!
The Reiss Nanette Dress
The Duchess is pretty well known for being a lover of high-street brands and a lover of Reiss in particular. For her Royal Engagement photos (shot by Mario Testino) she chose to shine in this Ivory Reiss Nanette dress and some Links of London earrings. The dress features 3/4 length sleeves, a draped neck line and a panelled waist band. Looking as gorgeous as she does in the dress, it’s no surprise that she has chosen to wear it on more than one occasion, also pairing the dress with a Sylvia Fletcher hat on a trip to Canada in 2011.
Princess Charlotte’s Christening, 4th July 2015
The Duchess of Cambridge looked radiant in a white dress last year for the christening of beautiful Princess Charlotte. She wore a classic coat dress by British designer Alexander McQueen which evoked memories of the dress she wore to Prince George’s christening. She paired the dress with Mappin & Webb jewellery and a Jane Taylor hat.
Princess Charlotte was pushed to the church of St Mary Magdalene in an antique Silver Cross pram that has been in the Royal family for generations. It was the same pram that the Queen used to carry Prince Charles when he was christened in 1948.
Sportmax Green Coat, Christmas Service, 2015
For the Christmas service at Sandringham, the Duchess looked gorgeous in her festive Sportmax coat and hat. Even clutching an umbrella this lady is still effortlessly chic.
Traditional skirt and cape, India and Bhutan, 2016
This is another one of our favourites from the Royal Tour to India and Bhutan. During an archery lesson on day 5 of the tour Kate went for a more a traditional look. The skirt was a handmade traditional Bhutanese skirt and was accompanied by a Paul & Joe cape. We love the way she has mixed traditional dress and high-street brands here.

Jenny Packham dress, Spectre Premiere, 2015
Although she often adopts a more minimalistic style, it’s great to see the Duchess in a bit of glitz and glamour at times. For the Spectre premiere in 2015, Kate was accompanied by both William and Harry and wore a dazzling blue Jenny Packham gown. We love the sheer finish to the top of this dress and the neckline of the dress was beautiful with a draped front and delicate ruching at the back of the neck. The sparkle on the waistband was the perfect finishing touch.
Catherine Walker Coat, Canada, 2016
To bid farewell to Canada The Duchess looked beautiful in this Catherine Walker Coat. Looking for winter coat inspiration? Kate is your lady.
Mulberry Coat, New York, 2015
Sticking with the bright colours that we love oh so much, this was another one of our memorable fashion moments. During a trip to New York, the Duchess shone in a bright pink Mulberry coat and Cornelia James Imogen gloves which looked beautiful against the dreariness of the winter weather. You can check out some high-street alternatives to this beautiful coat here.
Barbara Casasola dress, London 2016
Recently our girl wowed us in a cream jersey panelled dress by Barbara Casasola at the Natural History Museum in London. She wore the dress with a silver clutch and heeled sandals. It was lovely to see the Duchess in an off-the-shoulder number and many saw a resemblance between this look and Princess Diana’s off-the-shoulder look back in 1981.
Preen Dress, Royal Tour to Canada, 2016
We thought we’d finish with this little number because red is most definitely the colour for Kate. Just two days ago the Duchess of Cambridge shone at a Canadian reception in a beautiful Satin Preen dress. She completed the dress with a Canadian maple leaf brooch. The dress looked gorgeous with her brunette colouring and, finished with the red shoes, the Duchess was the most perfect lady in red. Some inspiration for your Christmas party wardrobe!
